HOTEL BOOKING ARRANGEMENTS

Arrangements for booking bedrooms at the Sheraton and several other hotels nearby are being handled by MKI Travel and Conference Management. The hotels selected provide a choice of prices. There will be shuttle buses going from each of the off-site hotels to the conference venue.

All enquiries about, and reservations for bedroom accommodation should be addressed to MKI, through their website at: http://www.mkitravel.com/iwc/

MKI urges delegates to book accommodation before 1st April 2008 so as to have the best opportunity regarding availability and price.

¹i.e. a 2-day workshop to review skin diseases in cetaceans of South America and pre-meetings of the RMP and AWMP sub-committees (these sub-committees will not meet concurrently).
²The workshop organising committee established at IWC/59 and comprising Norway, Australia, USA, Denmark (Greenland) and the Secretariat will meet to develop a draft agenda, identify experts who should be involved and further plans for the workshop including timing (e.g. whether it should be held prior to or associated with IWC/61 in 2009).
³ If discussions on the follow-up to the intersessional meeting have budgetary implications, these will need to be addressed before the budget is agreed in plenary
