Referees and manuscripts 1999 - October 2010
A journal cannot function without
the support of those scientists who are prepared to
give some much of their time to act as referees. Our
Journal is no exception, and indeed has benefited greatly
from the thorough and timely work of some 160 scientists
since our inception in 1999, as have the authors. It
is not the policy of the Journal to artificially inflate
our rejection numbers - we do not believe that to be
a sensible reflection of the quality of the Journal.
Rather, our aim is to work with authors to produce papers
of value if the underlying science is of a high standard.
During that time, well over 500 manuscripts have been
submitted and 400 have been published (including the
two special issues) with some 40 in press and more out
for review.
